The Association for Safeguarding the Patrimony of Tourism Verney was the idea of ​​Gabriel Samson and Jean-Raphaël Ayrault with the support of Pierre Hunold in Rennes (35). It was declared in the prefecture of Ille et Vilaine on 11 November 2012.

The Association for Safeguarding the Patrimony of Tourism Verney makes its first visit to the "Verney" collection in the Paris region. A series of thirteen SAMV & CBM coaches were awarded to Autocars Technique Patrimoine by Connex in 2002.

These vehicles are looking for a buyer to preserved them. A.S.P.T.V. Puts itself forward as candidate ...

 The founders paid a visit to the former head office at Asnières-sur-Seine (92) with Pierre Hunold (Verney Group Director for purchasing and equipment). They traveled around Paris to trace the various locations where the Verney head offices were.

The president and Mr. Hulaud (ex-driver TUB Briochins) traveled to Le Mans (72) to work on the municipal archives. In the heart of the latter, they found plans of the factory of Avenue de Sablé (Olivier Heuzé) where the S.T.A.O. Is situated today.

 They met the historical automobile officer of the General Council of Department 72 at the Museum of the '24 Hours of Le Mans' over a meal and then visited the museum. Afterwards they were received at S.T.A.O. 72 by a young retiree: M. Couédel (a Verney Control Officer) who gave them a series of archives and information on his career.

The founders were privileged to meet Anny-Charlotte Verney (cousin of Yves-Michel Verney and champion of the 24H of Le Mans) in the Le Mans conurbation. They were able to introduce the association, talk about Mr. Verney and his enterprise and received the support of Mrs. Verney.

Mr. Boisloret (former tourist coach driver TV 50) announces the donation of his LMC 12 B to the A.S.P.T.V. In order to shelter and restore it. The president travels to Normandy to meet the gentleman and see the vehicle.

The project is agreed and requires much thought.

The president launches the Verney Transport Museum (Transports Verney Patrimoine) to bring together archives, objects, memories and vehicles of the company.

The president leaves for Alençon (61) for the handing over of the keys of the coach offered by VTNI 61.

It is a Renault-Karosa Récréo, dating from November 1997, number 5834 with 356 000 KM on the speedometer.

It is brought back to Rennes (35) on September 11 by two VTNI drivers and the president.

We thank Kévin Mercier for having accompanied the president to the Orne!

The Association for Safeguarding the Patrimony of Tourism Verney becomes the The Association for the Safeguarding the Patrimony of Transports Verney in order to better put forward the Group's objectives.

Gabriel shares the presidency with Mr. Ayrault Jean-Raphaël and Mr. Lucas Bertrand is appointed secretary / treasurer on the vote of the members.

The LMC 12B project is cancelled to allow for the preservation of a CBM Albatros and TC 2 E from the Verney collection.

A new team and a new route is announced for the association but always with the two founders who have a good working agreement!

The association makes a second trip to Nangis (77) to see the Verney collection.

Some of the vehicles are stored outside: It is more than urgent to save them ...

A.S.P.T.V. aims to preserve a TC 2 E and Albatros according to its financial means and those offered by donors.

 

April 2014

 

A.S.P.T.V. confirmed the need to preserve VERNEY archives containing plans of different epochs and other files in the departmental archives of the Sarthe. These archives were kept at the ATP museum in Nangis with thirteen Verney coaches.

A.S.P.T.V. has existed for two years thanks to Gabriel SAMSON followed by Jean-Raphaël AYRAULT. After a series of recognitions for the event, A.S.P.T.V. had two good reasons to celebrate this great anniversary. In two years, the association has preserved two coaches and a whole series of archives that belonged to the company.

The members met in Poitou, followed by a visit to a FR1 TX. They met to set the future plans of the association and share memories with Verney employees remembering their career. It was time for A.S.P.T.V. to blow out the two candles to celebrate the work accomplished so far with congratulations from the members.

Verney Transport Museum (Transports Verney Patrimoine) would like to thank Gilles Lachassagne (workshop manager) and the two drivers - Fabrice and David who delivered the vehicle - from the VTNI ORNE company for the donation of a Renault Arès N ° 6466 in the colours of Tourisme Verney. We are very touched by this new collaboration and the acquisition of one of the last models operated by Verney.

Verney Transport Museum (Transports Verney Patrimoine) went to receive an important Christmas gift, in advance, composed of a lot of very important archives. They concern 95% of SCF Constructions, SAMV and several transport networks. Thanks are due to S.T.A.O. Le Mans – a subsidiary of Transdev - and its director for their hospitality and this wonderful donation. The Verney heritage is not ready to be extinguished. We warmly thank our three members present, as well as a member of the Verney Family, for their dedication to the sorting of documents and their passion for the company.
